Famous Comedians VS. Hecklers (Part 5/6)

Sooner or later every comic has to deal with some opinionated audience member. Generally these hecklers are awful because they mess up timing and pacing for the comic, and tend to throw the entire show off balance, therefore ruining the show for all other paying customers.
SOMETIMES though, hecklers add a great new element to live comedy. Given that the person they’re ripping on makes fun of shit for a living, there’s always a good chance that heckler will get thoroughly owned.
With that, here are great instances in which hecklers were properly put in their place.

====================
FEATURED COMEDIANS:
====================
Rodney Dangerfield
At the age of 62, Rodney Dangerfield became the first white rapper to go mainstream when the single, Rappin’ Rodney, crossed over into the pop charts making him the first white rapper to enter Billboard’s Hot 100.

Bill Hader
Master impressionist Bill Hader was bringing the audience at the Garage Comedy Show to its knees impersonating everyone from Al Pacino to James Mason at a donut store, when he served a pesky heckler his due justice for interrupting him.

Andrew Dice Clay
Andrew Dice Clay rose to iconic status in the 1980s, selling out hundreds of large arenas with his brash, macho and offensive persona. During his No Apologies comedy special, he proved that he can take it as well as he dishes it, with a hilarious response to a woman who interrupted his routine just to flash him.

Corey Holcomb
Often billing himself as the “ghetto Dr. Phil”, most of Corey Holcomb’s standup material revolves around relationships, particularly relationships gone wrong.

Kenny Moore
In one of the most legendary heckler putdowns ever, Kenny Moore was performing his routine, when a heckling couple near the stage got the better of him. The clip went viral before the Internet even existed, as dubbed copies of the VHS tape circulated widely. Moore was arrested and spent the weekend in jail.

Doug Stanhope
Growing up, Doug Stanhope bonded with his mother over their shared sense of humor. In his early days as a comic, she’d mockingly mail him parcels containing obesity porn, casette recordings of her own farts, and the obnoxious suits that have now become his trade-mark.

Hugh Laurie
Although he is best known for the FOX series, House, Hugh Laurie has had an exceptional career in character, sketch and slapstick comedy. Nowadays he regularly tours with his band performing material ranging from standup comedy to jazz.

Barry Rothbart
Barry Rothbart has spoken out about his father’s long history in organized crime and ties to the Mafia. At one time he was even a bookie for the Gambino Crime Family.

(FULL) Bill Burr Philadelphia Incident

It was 2006 when Bill Burr and many of the regular comedians of The Opie & Anthony Show were on The Traveling Virus Comedy Tour, hitting large venues around the nation. Things went South when the tour came to the Philadelphia area (technically The Tweeter Center across the river in Camden, NJ). From the jump, the unruly Philly crowd set the tone of the night by booing the first comedian off the stage and then proceeded to give hell to all other comedians on the bill, which also included Dom Irerra.

When Irrera was booed off the stage, Burr followed him and just decided to go on the offensive. Burr then spent his 12 minute set picking apart every thing about the city from its food, its sports teams, its icons, all while receiving boos from the audience. However, Burr would not let the crowd get him like they did the previous acts and kept hammering the audience until some started started to turn in his favor. By the time the 12 minute set (which Burr counted down every passing minute) was over, much of the crowd gave the comedian a standing ovation. Partly because he was actually quite funny and partly because he made it through the gauntlet and didn’t back down. That night Burr became the tamer of unruly audiences and earned an incredible amount of respect from comedians and working class audiences that now adore him.

stand up comedy jokes.

====================
FEATURED COMEDIANS:
====================
George Carlin
The 2001 HBO special, I Kinda Like It When a Lot of People Die was meticulously crafted by George Carlin as a vehicle for his hilariously juvenile yet brutal socio-political views. However, the special was later renamed and this particular bit scrapped because the following day, the 9/11 terror attacks happened.

Jim Jeffries
Evidently, if there’s a comic willing to risk his life for a joke it’s Jim Jeffries. While the Quran does not explicitly prohibit images of Muhammad, most Muslims abide by a rule which bans visual depictions of him. European newspapers in particular have incited terror attacks as a result of cartoons of the religious figure, look up Charlie Hebdo.

Anthony Jeselnik
No topic is off limits for Jeselnik, not even the ultimate sacred cow, children. “I try to say the worst thing you could and get away with it. Once people get that I’m saying awful things for a reason, it takes away that barrier. It gets them to laugh about domestic violence or breast cancer.” – Anthony Jeselnik

Frankie Boyle
Even the King of Pop hasn’t been spared the clench of Boyle’s merciless commentary. In a recording six weeks before he died, a slurring, heavily medicated Michael Jackson fantasized about a comeback tour and using the millions he would earn to build a children’s hospital.

Jimmy Carr
Jimmy Carr is famous for his point-blank and eerily dark one-liners which are guaranteed to make you either laugh or cringe. He has however admitted that drawing a combination of both reactions is the highest compliment

FEATURED COMEDIANS:
====================
Jimmy Carr:
An age old piece of advice most comedians give non-commited couples is to stay out of sight of a comic during a performance because it gets awkward if the comic asks if they’re dating and they give different answers.
Steve Harvey:
Even though he’s a stand up comic/actor/motivational speaker/game show and pageant host, Steve Harvey grew up with a stutter that was so bad, his classmates nicknamed him “Va-Va Va-Voom” because of his inability to say “Volcano”.
Doug Stanhope:
As a kid, Doug Stanhope’s mother took him to her AA meetings where he’d listen to recovering alcoholics give graphic and humiliating accounts of their drunken debacles and sordid sexual encounters,leaving a lasting impression on the future comic.
Andrew Doyle:
Sometimes they refuse to go quietly. A tip of the hat to Andrew Doyle for handling this situation like a consummate professional.

Comedians VS Comedians Feuds and Insults

A compilation of the very best comedy rivalries and feuds which gave us the funniest insults and wittiest comebacks.

Featured Comics:

Sam Kinison VS Andrew Dice Clay
Andrew Dice Clay and Sam Kinison had a major public feud during the late 80s and early 90s. They were the two biggest comedians at the time with similar acts that featured vulgarity and profanity. However, Kinison accused Dice of stealing his jokes.

Louis CK VS Denis Leary
“Asshole” is a song by comedian Denis Leary from his album No Cure for Cancer. In an appearance on The Opie and Anthony Show, Louis CK claimed that Leary stole his routine and turned into a hit song. Leary later disputed the claim, asserting that he co-wrote the song with Chris Phillips.

Eddie Murphy VS Bill Cosby
Eddie Murphy Raw is a 1987 stand-up comedy special, during which Murphy recounted a phone call from Bill Cosby chastising him for using profanity on stage. The bit became the centerpiece of the hugely successful film. Cosby responded by calling Murphy a liar even though he didn’t deny the phone call.

Richard Pryor VS Chevy Chase
In 1977, Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase both went on the Tonight Show to plug their respective TV specials, airing back-to-back on NBC the following night.

NBC’s excitement and the public’s anticipation over Pryor’s looming special were unprecedented. During the interview, Chase’s interruptive taunts from the sidelines irritated Pryor to the point of delivering the memorable blow, “I don’t like Chase.”

Russell Brand VS Chelsea Handler
It’s safe to say Russell Brand & Chelsea Handler share a mutual dislike of one other. Brand’s 2009 guest appearance on Chelsea Lately ignited a hilarious passive aggressive war of insults and comebacks.

Dave Chappelle VS Key and Peele
Since returning from his hiatus, Dave Chappelle has taken a series of shots at the stars of Comedy Central sketch comedy show, Key and Peele, most recently at the Roots Picnic Festival in 2016.

He reportedly said about Key & Peele: “Put some respect on my name. Y’all don’t know what I’ve been through, watching Key & Peele do my show the last five fucking years.”

HIGHLY Hilarious Comedians on Getting Busted

It’s April 20 so we thought we’d take a look at THE most hilarious stoner comedians tell stories on how they got on the wrong side of the law when they got busted. This video is for entertainment purposes; research and abide by your country and/or state legislation before you partake in activities that might contravene the law.

Highly Hilarious Stoner Comedians on How They Got Busted:
====================
FEATURED COMEDIANS:
====================

Dave Chapelle:
In 2015 Dave Chapelle was viciously heckled and booed after giving an incoherent and lackluster performance in Detroit. In one of his highly successful 2017 Netflix specials, he blamed the episode on the potent weed he had smoked with rappers before the show.

Tommy Chong:
In 2003, Tommy Chong was sentenced to 9 months in prison for selling drug paraphernalia. His bunkmate was Jordan ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Belfort. Chong adviced him to write the memoir which inspired the Oscar-nominated movie.

Louis CK:
Apparently Louis CK is not at his best when he’s high. He admittedly smoked so much when he wrote the draft of Season 5 of Louie that when he came out of his stoned haze and discovered the piles ‘gibberish’ he had written, he scrapped it all and started over.

5 of The Darkest Jokes Ever (PART 1/2)

5 really dark stand up comedy jokes. Do not watch if you are offended by off-color humor.

====================
FEATURED COMEDIANS:
====================
Daniel Tosh
Daniel Tosh is known for his deliberately offensive style of black comedy. In 2012, he apologized for humiliating a female heckler who protested his rape jokes by responding to her that it would be funny if she were to be raped by “like five guys” right then.

David Cross
Voted top 50 of the most loathsome New Yorkers, David Cross is a master of provocation, and has admitted to taking his routine to places not receptive of his style of comedy. Many of his jokes touch on taboo subjects and flick raw nerves to draw laughs…and walkouts.

Tig Notaro
Tig Notaro was diagnosed with cancer in both breasts in 2012. Three days later, she took to the stage and addressed her diagnosis on a taping titled, Live. During her Grammy nominated HBO special Boyish Girl Interrupted, Notaro removed her shirt, exposing her scarred chest, as she continued to crack jokes.

Gilbert Gottfried
Reputed to be the world’s darkest joke, The Aristocrats is a taboo-defying crude tale with numerous variations and has been told by stand-up comedians since the Vaudeville Era. Gilbert Gottfried gave it major publicity during the Friars’ Club Roast of Hugh Hefner.

Ricky Gervais
Famous for his brazenly dark humor, no topic is too offensive, liable or off-limits for Ricky Gervais. An acquired taste to some, he’s masterful in making his audience feel as awkward as possible for comical gain.

The Best One Liners in Comedy from the Past 87 Years (#1-25)

The Best One Liners in no particular order from the past 87 Years- The criteria were based on originality, cleverness, and how the jokes inspired generations of comedians. A ‘classic one liner’ serves as a new flagship in artistic merit that completely shakes down lazy, plain, typical art and delves into deep levels of brilliance, provocation, and achieves the desired outcome of masterpiece work. In short: the audacity to be different in positive and creative ways. Ultimately it’s an acknowledgement that these jokes have managed to stand the test of time.
Time is not the only benchmark that determines a classic however, as the list does not exclude newer one-liners from the past few years because just like the older ones that have survived the test of time to remain relevant, these recent one-liners not only separate themselves from the bunch, but they do so in a unique and counter-cultural fashion. They display delicate timing and thought, the type of which is bold enough to challenge the status quo of Comedy ultimately creating new boundaries
